Dust-Mites can cause both adults and children to have a poor night’s sleep or even worsen health problems. As we sleep, we shed skin cells in our beds, necessitating the washing of our linen. To keep asthma under control, the National Asthma Council Health recommends following a wash schedule.

Dust-Mites are tiny insects that prefer warm, humid surroundings, and sheets, pillows, and bedding provide them with just that. They can feed on our dead skin cells, which we shed on a daily basis. Actual doona, blankets, and pillows need washing at least every two months.

Experts recommend washing your bedding once a week with hot water to keep the dust mite problem under control. This has been proven to kill mites, although washing with cold water may not. There are mite-proof pillow and mattress cases on the market, but even these will need to be removed and washed once a month
